Middlehaze is a four piece indie-rock band from Greenville, SC performing and self releasing material since 2014, most of that time under the name Excons which has been retired. They have just recently released a pair of five song EPs, High Five recorded at Drop of Sun in Asheville by the wiz kid Lawson Alderson and Down Low & five songs recorded in Greenville, SC by Will Wong & Britt Barker. Middlehaze’s most obvious influences might be R.E.M., Wilco or My Morning Jacket but all four members are music nerds and have wide ranging interests which influence the sound of the group.
