Sunday Brunch to support Hurricane Helene Survivors

November 17 11:30 am - 3:00 pm

Save the date for Sunday, November 17th for a Sunday Brunch to support those most affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina from 11:30 am to 3 pm, along with live music from Big Eyed Rabbit from 12 to 2 pm! Our Sous Chef, Chris Martorell of brunch pop-up Mangia Martorell – a 2024 Best of the Upstate finalist in the brunch category – and the Fireforge culinary team will be serving up a delicious menu of Appalachian-themed food and special beverages.

Fireforge will donate 20% of sales to BeLoved Asheville. The heart of BeLoved is community. BeLoved Asheville is dedicating all of their resources to help everyone in their mountain home. Their immediate focus has been on critical necessities like food, water, and healthcare for survival and stability. As winter looms, they are securing warm and safe housing for the displaced. Looking further ahead, recovery from the vast destruction will be a large-scale investment over several years. BeLoved Asheville believes that people can unite to rebuild a community that embodies home, health, equity, and opportunity for all.

Big Eyed Rabbit is a hard-driving Appalachian string band out of the Western Carolinas. With a classic alignment of fiddle, clawhammer banjo, guitar and stand-up bass, the Rabbits deliver ancient fiddle tunes and mountain songs with finely crafted reckless abandon. This isn’t bluegrass – it’s much older and rustic. This is roots music pulled straight out of the ground!
